Screenwriter, director, producer of feature films, including “Novembre” (“November”), Południe-Północ “South-North”, Mała Wielka Miłość “Little Great Love”. He has produced over 120 and directed over 300 television commercials. While working in various countries, he realized advertising productions for, among others, Bella, Daewoo, Danone, Grant’s Whiskey, Happy, ING, Jelfa, Johnson & Johnson, KIA, LOT, Lotto, MK Cafe, Nestle, Old Spice, Plus +, Procter & Gamble, PZU, TZMO, Unilever, US Pharmacia, and Van den Bergh. His ads have gone to receive many awards at festivals. He has been running his production company, Zoom Media sp.z o.o., for 18 years

In 1985-86, he studied Polish philology at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Studied directing between 1986 and 1990, obtaining a degree from the Film and Television Directing Department of the National Film School in Łódź, was taught by Wojciech Jerzy Has. He was a directing student at the National Film and Television School in the UK in 1989. In Belgrade, in the same year, he graduated from a film mastering workshop run by Istvan Szabo.

In private, he is husband to Weronika Karwowska and a father of 5 children: Franciszek, Roch, Mia, Leon, and Tymon.

„Doktor” 2009

A very personal film about the director's grandfather, Otton Karwowski, a village doctor, a legend. Dr. Otton treated the poor for free, while renowned clinics, after rare diagnoses, turned to him for assistance. Over 20,000 people came to the funeral of this ordinary country doctor.
